July 24: 3 hours

Looking at the element Earth, its temperament the Melancholic, the Melancholic planets, Saturn, and Mercury.

How the Melancholic presents in clinical settings, temporary Melancholic conditions of cold and dry.

Melancholic Herbs.

Preventative medicine for Melancholics, diet, exercise, physical, emotional, mental, spiritual.

General discussion for the last 60 mins on clients possibly a presentation by a different student(s) each week of a patient/or person who presents as Melancholic.

July 31: 3 hours

Looking at the element Water, its temperament the Phlegmatic, the Phlegmatic planets, the Moon and Venus. How the Phlegmatic presents in clinical settings, temporary Phlegmatic conditions of cold and damp. Phlegmatic Herbs. Preventative medicine for Phlegmatic, diet, exercise, physical, emotional, mental, spiritual.

General discussion for the last 60 mins on clients: possibly a presentation by a different student(s) each week of a patient/or person who presents as Phlegmatic.

August 14: 3 hours

Looking at the element Fire, its temperament the Choleric, the Choleric planets, the Sun and Mars. How the Choleric presents in clinical settings, temporary Choleric conditions of heat and dryness. Choleric Herbs. Preventative medicine for Choleric, diet, exercise, physical, emotional, mental, spiritual.

August 21: 3 hours

Looking at the element Air, its temperament Sanguine, the Sanguine planet, Jupiter. How the Sanguine presents in clinical settings, temporary Sanguine conditions of warm and moist. Sanguine Herbs. Preventative medicine for Sanguine, diet, exercise, physical, emotional, mental, spiritual.

August 28: 2-3 hours

Looking at the astrology: Determining the Temperament form the Natal horoscope. Determining the Temperament by enquiry (asking questions). A brief introduction to Decumbiture.

**Because of time constraints, each student will need to purchase a copy of Traditional Western Herbal Medicine (at a discount from Aeon books check this for USA) and read the relevant chapters before class so we can deepen the discussion during the lesson**

Join me in welcoming Elisabeth Brooke live from the UK!   She became a Medical Herbalist in 1980 with the National Institute of Medical Herbalists, winning the Pharmacology prize. She ran a training clinic for herbal students on behalf on NIMH at Highgate Natural Health Centre 1980-2 and was a tutor at the School of Herbal Medicine Tunbridge Wells 1979-84, in Clinical Skills, Pathology, and Pharmacology. Elisabeth had a private herbal practice in London 1979-1989. In 1989 she worked with the Catholic Institute of International Relations, first in Nicaragua and then in The Dominican Republic, researching Traditional Medicine. She remained in the Dominican Republic until 1999 working with Traditional Medicine in Villa Mella and La Romana.
She has written many books including the Practice of Traditional Western Herbalism, A Women’s Book of Herbs, and Goddess Astrology.
