Classes meet 5-7PM June 25, July 9, July 23, and  Aug 6 and Join us for the first of our enchanted summer evenings as we gather in the beautiful Bastyr Gardens just NE of Seattle to delve deep into the world of plant medicine. What herb are we studying each week? It’s a mystery until you arrive! Trust that if you are drawn to this that each plant will be chosen and revealed slowly, so as to help you for a different way of knowing it.

We will explore the wonders of each plant one by one, uncovering lore, phytochemistry, and their unique energetics. From harvesting to preparations, we will create fresh plant herbal medicine, and learn the alchemy of transforming these botanical allies into healing remedies that you get to take home! You will not only deepen your knowledge of Materia Medica but also create connections with the plants and with each other. Join us and let the wisdom of the garden guide us on this journey of discovery and connection.

Class is taught by Nicole Telkes, who has been practicing as a herbalist for over 25 years. Nicole wears many herbal hats: she runs the Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine in it’s 21st year of education. Nicole works as a herbal clinician, educator, author of two books on herbs, as well as working as Adjunct Faculty in the Herbal Studies program at Bastyr and in the gardens.  She loves bringing people and plants closer together and excited to guide you through this class so that you can get closer to the herbs and each other!
