Nutrition for Herbalists Series with Charlotte Kikel

Class meets from 6-8PM online beginning March 17.  There will be recordings available if you miss the class.

3/17 The Truth About Food

Whatever your relationship is to food and your body, you will come away from this class with a newfound clarity of mind. I’m not just going to fill you up with more information, but will teach you how to look at food in a fresh, empowered way. We will examine how our ancestors ate, how our modern world threatens nourishment, and how to navigate having way too many choices at the grocery store. Whether you are new to nutrition or have been studying it for years, I promise that you will walk away with new practical and clinical insights.

4/7 The Truth About Blood Sugar

Let’s stop digging our graves with our teeth: excess insulin underpins the pathophysiology of all chronic diseases. Most people don’t even realize that they are living on a blood sugar rollercoaster because they’ve never known any different. In this class, we will take a deep dive into exploring the value of a low-carb, high-fat way of eating to help regulate insulin levels and blood sugar, and lower inflammation. As the daughter of a man who devoted his career to the sugar industry, I know what healing from this looks like, and I can’t wait to teach you all that I’ve learned.

4/28 The Truth About Food Sensitivities

Unrecognized food sensitivities create an inflammatory cascade in the body that contributes to a lack of vitality. A vicious cycle ensues: just like we crave sugar, we end up craving the very foods that are hurting us. In this class, we will take a look at tools to identify food sensitivities, along with healing the gut and immune system. Eliminating foods from the diet isn’t easy, but restriction means freedom when it comes to avoiding food sensitivities. Come learn why the work is worth it!
