Never underestimate the importance of a good face oil. They are incredibly simple to make, yet choosing the right blend of ingredients can feel daunting for most beginning formulators. In this class, we will explore the use of various flowers +  carrier oils and demystify the often-confusing world of skincare choices.

We will focus on the Alcohol Intermediary method of extraction and demonstrate how this method can help you create potent and effective flower-infused oils for yourself and others. Each student will have the opportunity to select ingredients unique to their own skin’s needs and will leave this workshop with a custom infusion to be pressed and used.

What students will learn:

  • The role of oils in facial care
  • How to choose between different carrier oils and select the right ones for each skin type
  • How to select flowers for different skin’s needs, with a focus on:

o   Rose

o   Chamomile

  • How to get the most out of your extractions with the Alcohol Intermediary Method
  • Formulation tips for ease and consistency
